Project Description

Governors Harbour

Design and permitting services for a marine facility with breakwater accommodating seventy-two (72) vessels up to 150 feet in length.

The proposed project is a redevelopment of the Club Mediterranean in Governors Harbour, Eleuthera. The site and new marina have been permitted by the Bahamas Environmental, Science and Technology Commission (B.E.S.T.) under an Environmental Impact Assessment (E.I.A.) carried out by Turrell, Hall & Associates. Along with conducting in-depth terrestrial and marine environmental studies, Turrell, Hall & Associates will oversee the engineering of the breakwater that will extend approximately 1,100 linear feet. The permitted marina will accommodate vessels up to 150’ in length and will serve an upland development consisting of 20-40 luxury residential units, within fourteen separate five-star villas and a five-star hotel with up to 145 keys, within separate three-story multiplex buildings.
