Lee County Fisherman’s Co-op is located in Pine Island, Florida. The property consists of an existing commercial marina in conjunction with an upland commercial fish house. The proposed work consisted of obtaining the necessary State and Federal permits to maintenance dredge within the immediate area of the commercial docking facility.

Since the commercial marina is located on sovereign submerged lands adjacent to an aquatic preserve, a Submerged Resource Assessment (SRA) was completed and consisted of traversing transects with scuba equipment, utilizing a Daubenmire scale to determine the coverage of submerged resource such as oysters and seagrasses, and collecting substrate samples to identify infaunal communities to the nearest taxonomic nomenclature.
