Project Description

Marco Island Yacht Club

Previous permitting services for boat slips within a man-made basin and additions to the facility are currently underway. Located near the mouth of the Big Marco River, this 120 slip floating dock facility accommodates vessels up to and over 100’ in length. Construction of the facility included dredging over 4 acres of upland to create the artificial basins, engineering, and installation of over 1,500 linear feet of seawall, over 400 linear feet of rip-rap and a mangrove planter shelf. Current expansion plans are underway to add an additional 30 slips on the opposite side that will accommodate 100’ vessels. These plans include dredging to depths that will accommodate the larger vessels and utility placement within the docks including a sewage pump-out system available to the public.
