The 212-acre project consists of regional park facilities for Collier County including a water park, eight lighted soccer fields, and five lighted softball fields. See more details on the facility here. The water park also consists of a two-lane diving lap pool, kid’s pool, activity pool for families, and a 1,200-foot linear lazy river for rafting. There is also a state of the art playground, a fitness center, a pool boathouse, a recreation building, picnic shelters, a community center, and walking/bicycle paths. Wetland impact minimization and mitigation were important factors that had to be considered and dealt with for this project. Habitat restoration and listed species management plans were also provided.
